The style of this painting is different from the rest of my paintings. I gave this one some texture and life. Shane seems to be full of life and I wanted to show this in this painting.

This drilling rig is located right off the Green River in Utah near the “prairette wetlands”. The sunset with its orange glow caught my eye on this one. I can see why Jerrid has taken this photo…. There will be more from his collection in the future.

Jerrid Allen, a drilling consultant, contributed to the design of this painting. The drilling rig was under some changes to become a top drive unit. Here it had been converted but was not at the time when drilling here on this location.
